Dr. Katie Beleznay has been in practice more than a decade and is a globally recognized leader in cosmetic dermatology, as well as international speaker, trainer and author. She is board certified in both Canada and the United States, and practices in Vancouver, B.C. at Humphrey & Beleznay Cosmetic Dermatology.
After 14 years of post-secondary education including an undergraduate degree in chemistry at the University of Victoria and medical school and dermatology residency at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Dr. Beleznay completed a year-long fellowship in laser and cosmetic dermatology and trained with some of the top doctors in the field, including Drs. Jean and Alastair Carruthers (pioneers of Botox).
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Beleznay is a treating investigator in pivotal clinical trials and research bringing the latest aesthetic treatments and devices to market. She has published more than 45 peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters and serves as a contributing editor for the journal Dermatologic Surgery. She also loves teaching and is a faculty member at the UBC Department of Dermatology and Skin Science.
She is a frequent speaker at international conferences, including the World Congress of Dermatology, American Academy of Dermatology and American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) meetings.
Dr. Beleznay is a consultant for industry on brand, marketing and digital strategies as well as product launches. She is a Key Opinion Leader, lecturing and consulting nationally and internationally and has filmed numerous injection training videos on filler and neuromodulators to educate other healthcare providers.
Dr. Beleznay is a top Canadian Dermatologist on TikTok and Instagram reaching an engaged audience of over 300k followers with her content receiving more than 80M+ views. She is frequently featured in the press, including Globe and Mail, Allure, CBC, CTV, Elle, InStyle and more.
She currently resides in Vancouver with her husband and two sons.
