Cosmetic Treatments in the Age of Zoom
I recently had the opportunity to be on CTV talking about “Zoom Face” and some of the trends with cosmetic treatments. Over the past couple of years, we have definitely seen an increase in patients coming in and mentioning something they noticed about their appearance while on Zoom (or other online platforms). You can see the full interview here.
We are all seeing ourselves on camera and on screen more than ever before and watching your face express a range of emotions on screen can bring certain facial features to light that you may not have been aware of. This could mean noticing frown lines, dark under eye circles, or a double chin for example. So we are seeing patients coming in asking to address these concerns.
Patients are also asking for natural looking, subtle enhancements (aka “tweakments”). They want to look like the best version of themselves without people, including colleagues on Zoom, knowing they’ve had any treatment. Whether relaxing lines while preserving natural movement or subtly enhancing a feature or replacing lost facial volume, this is achievable when you work with the right cosmetic provider and approach treatment in terms of smaller, gradual progression over time.
